"Bryan Lafaye's work holds a special place in my collection, and I'm proud to own several of his pieces.  I display his artwork both in my law office and in my home, and in each setting his work adds a sense of character, warmth, and connection to the natural world.  Lafaye has a remarkable ability to blend the landscapes, wildlife, and spirit of the American South into compositions that feel both authentic and deeply personal.  His distinctive style captures the beauty of the outdoors while telling a story through each piece.  Bryan Lafaye is truly a unique artist, and his work continues to be a highlight of my art collection."

"Ways to blend art and the outdoors through my kayaking business in South Louisiana was a goal I held for many years. Bryan’s reputation preceded him through my wife, who had attended several of his classes. I’ll admit I was intimidated at first to meet the 'famous artist,' but that feeling vanished the moment we met.

The immediate goal became organizing a plein air kayak trip into the Louisiana swamps. Over the next few years, many people were guided by Bryan into that ecosystem, learning to see the landscape through stillness and paint. The swamp isn't a typical outdoor vista; it’s intricate, explosive, and quiet all at once. It requires the viewer to let the landscape come to them—and Bryan embodies that same patient authenticity as a teacher.

Bryan is the same way as a person; when he looks at you, he really sees you, and his listening is just as intentional. Patient authenticity is also what draws Becky and I to his art as well. His painting simply lets us find our own way into the scene. Our commissioned piece, created with this simple guidance: "Two birds in either the dawn or sunset light" exceeded every expectation. It fits our space perfectly and creates a portal that places our spirit into the swamps every single day."

"What drew me to Bryan's work was his unique incorporation of words  along with his play of balance within a piece. What I love about the piece we purchased is the connection to place and story that Bryan was able to work into the painting. Bryan was such a joy to work with throughout the creation, always including us in the process. He truly wanted us to be a source of inspiration for the work. The artwork makes me feel a sense of transcendent awe as I reflect on the symbolic meaning of Mount Hood and the way the piece commemorates my family's history."
